Meet Your Hosts

The owners of Kon Tiki, Denise and Jim Bennette, live on the property and take their responsibility as hosts very seriously. Since departing the corporate world and taking over Kon Tiki in 2002, Denise and Jim have worked hard to make the resort as comfortable and accommodating as possible. Our formula for success is not complicated...when our guests are laughing, we know we are succeeding.
What’s in a name?
The resort takes its name from a raft Norwegian explorers used to sail across the Pacific in 1947 to prove that the Polynesian islands were settled by natives from South America. Although the resort was named long before we became owners, we kept the name because it represents the best of what we hope to provide—relaxing, island-style adventure in a quiet spot where sky and water meet and the wind moves more than sails.
Our guests’ testimonials:..”Fantastic facilities, always clean and easy to get around. Owners are the best.”
”This stay was absolutely wonderful. The place is clean, spacious, and a relaxing place to kick back and enjoy the weekend...You can tell Denise and Jim take pride in this resort.”

Thank you for all that you do to keep Kon Tiki beautiful! ...My family continues to grow closer thanks to the time spent here and we thank you again for all the new memories made!”
